Poppy is such a different dining experience from anything I have experienced before. They serve food in thali?s, which are small amounts of a variety of foods that pair together well. You get a big plate of an assortment of dishes. I swear, every time I go there the next dish tastes better than the one before it. How can things always be getting better? Is there no end to the deliciousness? I recommend having a reservation as they tend to be busy, but if you just stop by you can hang out at the bar and eat there. If so, I highly recommend the eggplant fries with honey! They have a great drink menu and the bar tenders are by far some of the nicest and most helpful I have ever met. They totally want to help you pick out the perfect drink and I so appreciate that. Some of my favorite dishes from New Years Even dinner there: Dungeness crab, avocado and shiso salad; BC scallops on sunchoke with Buddha?s Hand and taggia olives; mashed cauliflower with sumac and sesame; and the swiss chard gratin. This was not all that came on the thali, but they were my favorites of the night.
