Based on previous reviews, I was so excited to be able to get an appointment at Giraud Studio. Upon arrival, staff was friendly and hospitable. Atmosphere was excellent! I recieved the best shampoo massage I have ever had. I believe her name was Alicia, she was friendly and made me feel at ease. I saw Cory for my color which was exemplorary. She was extremely professional and cordial. The color came out ""perfect""! I sat in the owner Joanne's chair and she gave me a wonderful consultation for my new style. I was very, very excited. As she began to cut my hair, a strange foul smell permeated the area. As she continued, the foul smell became stronger and stronger. I had a hard time not gagging. I couldn't just get up and leave as I was in the middle of the process of my new style. So I held my breath and stuck it out. The result was a smelly experience and a just average cut and style. It was definately not worth the money. To my dismay, the stylist was disheveled and inappropiately dressed for her position. I was greatly dissapointed because I was so impressed with the excellent staff, superb hair massage, and beautiful color. I also want to comment on the attentiveness and professionalism of the receptionist. Overall, five stars for shampoo, color, and hospitality. One star for the average cut and minus one star for the foul odor, which gives me an average of an overall three stars.
