Tap was one of the first to claim ""gastropub"" in their concept, as the Concentrics people are always good at following trends. They were also one of the first places to feature a burger as their signature item, serving it on an English muffin. But I went back the other day and had the burger, which I hadn't had in a year or so...and I still like it.
It's small in size, but they aren't afraid to cook it med or med rare. It comes with one slice of American cheese and a few pickles. I'm not a big fan of pickles so I get it without. But the burger has great flavor, it's simple and it comes with shoestring fries and a little chocolate shake. And the muffin holds the burger just fine... its' not as good as a potato bun at Grindhouse, or one that came from H&F Bakery, but it works.
I'm glad they haven't changed it, or taken it off the menu.
Pros: Burger on an english muffin.
Cons: Parking in that 'hood sucks.
