I get it: Diver Bar is not actually a dive bar in the sense that tipplers know it. But the maritime theme is lost on me; the only intimations of maritime theme include a dirty fish tank, a diving mask and wall-mounted mermaid.
No matter, Dive Bar is a relatively unpretentious establishment with respectable bar food and a very impressive international beer list. The beers on tap change fairly often, so stay on your toes. Plus, the extra-friendly bartenders don’t hurt. But be sure to snag one of the big booths with some friends, or you’ll have to hunker in a corner by the oddly large tables in the back.
