After a somewhat long day exploring the New England countryside, all I wanted was a nice quality restaurant to finish the trip. We were passing through Greenwich on the way back to NYC, and someone had recommended The Ginger Man. We got a great parking spot on the street, and there was no wait (this was a Friday night, mind you).
The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. It was a little bit of comfort mixed with elegance. There was a nice mix of younger people at the bar, and a few old people eating at the restaurant. I swear, we were seated next to a couple 60-somethings on a first date.
Anyway, the food was great. We ordered the chilean sea bass and the braised short ribs. Both were good, but the sea bass was SOOO good! It was perfectly seasoned and had a nice crispy texture. The ribs were good too, but I wished it was a little more tender. I'll still give this place 5 stars though because I loved everything about it. Maybe it was just my mood, but next time I'm on the east coast I'll try to go back.
Pros: Food, atmosphere
