My husband and I have made a tradition of going to Red Dragon on Christmas Day for the last 4 years. It's always been full/busy but not long wait time - and always great food, solid service, and appropriately priced. This year, my parents and sister were visiting so we took them too. It was AWFUL. The waitstaff were clueless - I honestly think they'd never worked there before. I should have known we were in trouble when my husband ordered a Heineken and the waitress asked if that was a beer. We ordered food family-style, plus 2 of us got soup. The appetizer came out correct and timely. The soup arrived wrong - only 1 came out and it wasn't what either of us ordered. They quickly corrected the soups...and then we waited...and waited...and waited...for about 45 minutes. We saw other diners having similar issues, waiting for food, having difficulty flagging down the staff for drink refills or to-go boxes. The place was full but people came in staggered enough that it should have been manageable. Our food FINALLY arrived...and it was barely lukewarm. Only 1 dish was hot - which was served on a skillet. Even the rice was room temperature. Rather than send it back and wait even longer, we requested boxes so we could heat it up and eat at home. At this point, the hostess (manager?) came over and when we told her that the food was not hot, she said, ""that's not possible."" We got our check (on which nothing was comped, despite our fuss) - paid exact change in cash and walked out.
All that being said, the food itself was good. But NOT worth it to put up with the service.
Not only do we have to find a new place for Christmas Day, we're NEVER going there again and will tell all our friends the same.
