I went for dinner with a group of friends (8 total). I was ordering wine and appetizers for our table; it was great! We all ordered our entrees. I ordered a chicken dish; the food came out and I received a shrimp salad. I told the server that's not what I ordered, that I don't even eat shrimp, and he admitted he messed up. He told me it would be 10-12 mins for me to get my originally ordered dish, so I told him I would eat the salad minus the shrimp because I can't eat shrimp.
If you were a restaurant manager, wouldn't you automatically comp this lettuce???
I would think so, but when I got the check the salad was on there (that I didn't order) which I never argued. I paid, and it was a friend of mine sitting at the table who questioned the salad charge that caught the attention of a manager who stopped by the table (after I paid) to insert his 2 cents. He said ""We didn't charge you for the shrimp because you didn't eat them."" To which I replied, ""You charged me for a salad I never ordered."" He said, ""But you ate the salad."" And I said, ""Yes, I ate the salad because I had nothing else to eat while all my friends were eating!""
End of story: I paid full price for lettuce I never ordered, and I WILL NEVER BE BACK AGAIN! The manager should have just never came by because he made it worse!
