I started having pain in my lower left jaw on Saturday, January 3rd, 2010. I could not swallow without horrid, dull, aching misery, or hardly opening my mouth. I have lost weight since I can?t eat anything, but soft palatable foods. By Monday I was hurting so bad I went to see an urgent care physician. I was placed on a heavy duty antibiotic and told to go check in with my dentist. Within less than 15 hours I was squeezed into an appointment slot with Dr. Becker. That was pretty impressive. I just love how the phone is answered. I know they CAN help me. What a great ?can do? attitude that made me feel like I was the number one patient of the day! I don?t even think my mom could have been this nice. I am a TOTAL wimp when there is physical pain thrust upon me. Long story, short?I was in, looked at, given a device to help my mouth/jaw, rescheduled to return within the week and feel less anxious about this mess. I still have to work this healing process.
