IN RESPONSE TO PREVIOUS RATEING PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ OUR RESPONSE, CUSTOMERS COACH WAS BROUGHT TO US ON 7/30/09 TO ADDRESS TWO CONCERNS. THE FIRST WAS TO ISOLATE CAUSE OF OIL COVERD ENGINE AND ENG. COMPARTMENT ALSO HAD A LOW POWER COMPLAINT CONCERNS OCCURED AFTER CUSTOMER HAD CHANGED HIS OWN OIL AND PUT DIFFERENT WEIGHT OIL BACK IN ENGINE.BEFORE STARTING ENGINE CHECKED AND FILLED ENGINE TO CORRECT LEVEL (THREE QUARTS LOW) POWER WASH ENGINE. UPON START UP ENGINE HAD A COLD ENGINE KNOCK WITH OCCASIONAL BACKFIRE HOOK UP ENGINE SCOPE ISOLATE MISS TO DEAD CYL @ #1 AND PLUG WIRE BREAK DOWN ON #6 ALSO FOUND OIL BLOWING OUT DIPSTICK TUBE AND OIL FILTER SOAKED W/OIL.CUSTOMER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED OF FINDINGS AND GIVEN A WORSE CASE CENARIO BASED ON INFORMATION KNOWN,( R/V WAS A 1994,ONE CYL DEAD,COMPRESSION IN BLOCK AND INTERNAL ENG. NOISE).SECOND CONCERN OF JACK LEG EVIDENTLY AIR IN SYSTEM OR DRY PACKINGS WORKED GOOD AFTER PURGEING SYSTEM CUSTOMER DID NOT WANT ANY FURTHER CHECK OUT ON ENGINE CONCERNS AND PICKED UP UNIT.REPAIR CHARGES ARE WITHIN INDUSTRY STANDARDS AND ACTUAL TIME BILLED WAS LESS THAN TIME SPENT ON JOB. NO FURTHER CONTACT HAS BEEN MADE WITH CUST., UNFORTUNATELY AS WITH OTHER OLDER EQUIPMENT REPAIRS, THEY TEND TO ESCALATE, WHICH MAKES A STRESSFULL SITUATION EVEN MORE STRESSFULL.WE TRY TO ADVISE OF THIS BEFORE REPAIRS BEGIN WITH A WORSE CASE CENARIO.WE STILL STAND BY OUR DIAGNOSIS BASED ON INFORMATION WE HAD.WE HAVE ALWAYS VALUED OUR R/V CLIENTS AND WILL DO SO IN THE FUTURE.THANK YOU!!
