Over the weekend I invited my friend from St. Louis out for brunch at Grooves, it was me and my fiance` and her and her friend. We got there before my friend did and the lady at the front kept offering us the drink specials $5 endless Mimosas, etc so we thought why not. Then she kept asking us if we were going to eat and I informed her I was waiting on a friend. I asked her if it was going to get packed or something if there was a reason we should make our plates asap when we were the only ones there. She said it gets really packed and I figured she was right after all the brunch was advertised as $8.00. My friend arrived and we ate it was a buffet style menu. The food was good but nothing spectacular no real breakfast food just lunch, no seafood or anything only chicken gumbo (which I have never heard of in my life) and dessert was a fruit tray. We had to ask them to take our plates before we could get more food so we would have room to eat and they left a pitcher of mimosas so we served ourselves. Before we asked for it the somone dropped our ticket off and the bill was $100.00!!!! They charged us $17.99 for each brunch and over $20.00 in gratuity, I got nothing accomplished when I talked to management I was told once you touch the plate you have to pay for it, I suppose these people would act the same way if there was hair in your food. They also claimed never to advertise their brunch with prices like those I can see why they wouldn't. The place never got crowded like the lady said it would and it was a terrible experience all the way around. I don't pay $18.00 for buffets when I'm on vacation, there was no seafood or gourmet food that would have made the price acceptable. Brunch was supposed to be from 11 am- 4pm and they definitely closed the buffet line at 3:00pm and whole hour early we were there for an hour and fiftteen minutes and came out with $100 bill. The WORST PLACE EVER I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THEIR HARD PRESSED FOR CASH BECAUSE ON THEIR WEB SITE IS SHUT DOWN BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T PAID THE DEVELOPER!!!!
Cons: Deceptive Pricing
