Bad, Bad, Bad 8/3/2009

My husband and I got there at 8PM. We parked in handicap (I have a decal that I obtained legitimately). We were told that we would have to pay $20 to park in the lot, even with a handicap decal. We enter and are eventually seated. We did not have a reservation but I told the hostess that we would be a group of 7 so she eventually seated us. \r \r We were seated at two tables pushed together. One table was uneven, shaky. It had a cloth napkin underneath it but it was not working so my husband put another cloth napking under the shaky leg. \r \r We ordered a Tanqueray & tonic and a Grey Goose and tonic. The drinks tasted funny (they cost $9 each) so I asked the waitress to take mine back and get a better one. My husband later figured out why the drinks were bad: They had given us soda water instead of tonic water. He told the waitress but she said the bartender said he made the drinks right. We also ordered appetizers, which when we finally received them were mediocre at best. \r \r The rest of our party arrived at nearly 9PM. It tooks so long for the waitress to come back to our table that two people in our group went to the bar to get their drinks. When one of the guys received his beer, it was warm.\r \r I don't know if they sould system was the band's or if it belonged to Grooves. It was so loud that my head began to hurt. Everyone at our table commented on the loudness. I was so glad when intermission time arrived.\r \r The owners of the club must know that this place needs some serious tweaking. It is not the upscale establishment that I had been led to believe. I will never return to Grooves. Cons: Overpriced Parking, bad service, bad drinks, too loud sound more
