It is almost impossible to find a Japanese restaurant in Nashville and surrounding counties that are actually owned and operated by real Japanese. Sushi is made by chefs that were formally trained, and you can tell by the way the sushi stays together when you pick it up with your chopstick to dip it into the soy sauce. Unlike Chinese owned sushi restaurants, the rice isn't smelly and pasty either. As far as the other foods, I can probably make them better with the exception of tempura, but I still stop and eat lunch here when I do my grocery shopping next door. Great place to stop when I don't feel like cooking.
