My dog was attacked by three others dogs. Both of her hind legs were chewed up. I rushed her to the Vet's office and he stitched her up and kept her over night. I picked her up Wednesday, the next morning, and she was doing ok. He explained to me because of the puncture wounds I would need to push the fluid out of the wounds and there would be an order to this fluid. I asked him why he was not putting in drain tubes into the wounds, and he said that it would be more expensive, she would be fine with out the drains. I took her to work with me everyday to keep the fluid drained out of the wounds, and I thought everything was ok until Saturday late afternoon. I called him because she would not get up and the wounds were stinking from an infection. He told me that was to be expected and to bring her in Monday.
