I recently took my partner here for his birthday with friends. We, too, were fans of the Herbfarm, but our Poppy experience seemed flat for us. When our thalis arrived it was confusing as to which each portion was relative to the menu description. The food was all about the same color and the portions were tiny. The best part of the meal was the teeny serving of soup. I also thought that the idea of having one menu clipped to a board at the table for 4 people to share at the same time seemed odd. I loved the interior and what they had done with the space, but expected something more impactful for food. I don't know if any of us would return as we were overall disappointed -- but not with our waiter who was great. We are hoping that the chef/owner can modify Poppy's menu from what was initially a novel idea to be more inclusive of people that maybe just want one main course.
