When we first walked into Lupe, all I could think about was our beloved Cuerno, and that big bull in the middle of the room. But we love tacos, and dug in. Straight forward guac, and one with mango/poblano. Very good. Also we shared a queso fundido, good also with a spicy salsa added. We ordered tacos of beef tongue, carnitas, and sauteed shrimp with jalapenos, with a cilantro aioli. Beef tongue was the best, even if I had in the back of my head, the Beef Tongue sandwich at Katz's Deli/NYC. Desert was a goblet filled with Aztec chocolate, piquant with chilies, and toppped with foamed mango cream. Oh Gosh! The Margs were great as well, but the star for me, was the beef tongue tacos. We will be back!
