Great Food well worth the wait best Indian fare in Seattle 10/12/2009

Hands down best Indian food in Seattle is Cedars on Brooklyn Restaurant. It is crowded ('cause we love it), but the servers don't smash into you either. Long wait times are made easier by understanding that there is no reservation service at all. If you phone in you are just telling them what time you will start to wait, NOT reserving a table. My Darling Spidey and I made great conversation with others on numerous occasions while waiting in line outside, sometimes in the rain. I am not a big fan of waiting for service but understand it is easier to sit a couple or threesome faster than parties of 6 or more. We like the saag alu and the naan you can make a meal of by itself. As for the tip we leave $3.00 total, whether it's just us or a party or 12. The Owner keeps the tips because he pays the servers much more than minimum wage. It's a great place to go when there are carnivores and vegetarians both in your group. They don't cross contaminate with utensils on meat/veggies so you can rest assured you will have a true vegetarian meal. Pros: Excellent Food great for carnivores and vegetarians as well! Cons: limited parking, not for big parties more
