Took several lessons at J&H and a friend boarder there. After several lessons we (class) were not learning anything new so I chose to go to a professional instructor and have learned more in two lessons than in the dozen I took at J&H. There were too many horses in the small areas. They did not rake the piles, which cut down on pasture space. The farmhands and the barn manager were not very approachable--found them to be negative and ignorant in the way they handled situations, esp people. There was too much negative barn politics for such a small place. Says a lot about the people running it. I have met other horse owners who have found other stables where the barn managers enjoy having their horse owners around and share information freely. It is worth your money to look around. My friend no longer has a horse but did end up boarding at another local stable which she and esp her horse loved.
