My first experience at Astor Place Hair was a really really good one thanks to Rita, who is a fantastic stylist with a great attitude and superior beauty skills. I was very apprehensive at first about trying a new salon and stylist, but Rita was highly recommended to me by my friend who has gone to her 3 or 4 times before and has very nice things to say about her. I must say her hair has never looked better. I first spoke to Rita on the phone before I even met her so I could let her know what hairstyle I was looking for and if she could help me. She was very polite and courteous on the phone answering all of my questions, no problem. I felt really good about setting an appoinment with her and getting a great new cut like my friend. Rita is very popular and very busy, but she is patient has a really great rapport with her clients which I feel is very important. Well, I must say Rita turned out to better than I could have ever hoped for! She is extremely talented, articulate and funny too! I had a good time conversing with her and my hair came out so cool and gorgeous! She knew exactly what I wanted and I left there feeling that I finally found someone I could go to again and again! The very next time I saw her I went for a complete base color transformation and some of her amazing highlights which is her specialty. Wow, is all I can say!!! I have never been complimented so often on my hair! I am a new and improved woman thanks to Rita! I would feel comfortable sending anyone I know to her. Astor Place and Rita are defintely worth the trip! Five Stars for Rita no doubt!!.
