I purchased a book from Midtown Scholar Bookstore, owned by Eric Papenfuse and Catherine Papenfuse, that was described as ""Crisp, clean and unread hardcover with light shelfwear to the dust jacket- VERY NICE!"" The book showed up with a remainder mark to one edge, that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the item description. I asked to send the book back for a refund but was denied, although their own website states their refund policy as ""A buyer is eligible to receive a full refund, including shipping, if a book is not in the condition described."" They don't honor their own policies. Based on this poor experience, I will not be purchasing any books from Midtown Scholar Bookstore ever again.
