I was parked in the back of a large and nearly empty suburban business parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. I was having a picnic in the nearby park when Fankie's towed and impounded my car. They were closed by the time I called them after getting the number off a confusing and poorly marked sign. I was informed that it would be 295 dollars to get my car back the next day. It was clear by what the man on the phone said that he or someone else had been watching me leave my car. He also mocked me and suggested I call the cops. I also tried to explain that I had left my house keys in the car and I had pets at home. He did offer to let me into the car for 50 extra dollars but continued to be dismissive. All in all a pretty bad experience from a typical towing company who charge way to much and take advantage of people when ever possible.
