Last Saturday evening we decided to give Donatello's yet another try. That was our first big mistake! It started with a phone call to find out what time they served dinner until, Our response on the other end ""Until the last customer leaves"" not a lot of information but what can one expect from Donatello's. We arrived there at 8:45 PM to see thankfully one other couple at the bar and about four tables full in the dining room so I guess that means we could still order food. We decided to sit at the bar and have a relaxing meal only to find out the bartender had other plans for us. He took our drink orders and then without giving us any menu's he asked us what we wanted to eat, we looked at him quite puzzled considering he had not even given us menu's so asked him if we could first see a menu and then make a decision. Within 20 seconds of handing us the menu's he asked if we had made a decision, mind you we were both still looking at the menus. We politely said no and this rude bartender was back again in 20 seconds asking us if we made our decision. We asked what time the kitchen closed and if that was his reason for rushing us and he said well we close when the last customer leaves... Still quite puzzled we ordered our appetizers and meal. Well as you might have guessed everything came out on top of one another. Our relaxing evening was quickly disappearing due to the lack of service and sophistication at Donatello's. The final straw was when we were asked halfway through our meals ""are you ready to pack that up yet?"" The audacity of this man's unprofessionalism was absolutely ridiculous!! We both remembered exactly why we never eat at Donatello's .... because SERVICE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!
