I believe ""Las Vacas Gordas"" restaurant should borrow off the philosophy of ""Less can be more."" The portions were large, but terrible!! The ""Enrollado steak"" which is basically Skirt Steak, was the better prepared steak they had on the menu. However, if anyone has ever cooked Skirt Steak, they know that it really does not take much to cook a great tasting Skirt Steak other than not burning it. The NY Steak (Bife de Chorizo) was 75% fatty and poorly cooked. The french fries were soggy and so on...I remember when I firts lunched at last Vacas, back in 2001 the service was terrible, but the food was great. If I were the owner, I would try to find a happy medium between quality, good service and sizeable portions. Huge is not necessarily good when it tastes like cr$%p!
