Okay food; lacking customer service 3/17/2008

First of all, this is my first restaurant review. My family has frequented Sushi Boat several times for both dine-in and take out. We have decided that we will no longer be going to this restaurant mainly because their customer service is not very good. Recently, we were not even greeted at the door even though servers and even a manager passed by us several times. We were finally asked if we wanted a table (shouldn't they assume we were there to eat?) and they did have a few empty ones. Once we were seated our order was taken quickly but they delivered the bento boxes at least 4 to 5 minutes before delivering a children's plain Udon. We always must ask for wasabi for our sushi - they do not automatically supply it. They then forget to give you your check. You must either ask for it or go to the cash register. Otherwise, you'll wait a very long time just to get out of there. By the way, the food is okay - it's not fabulous or lousy and the prices are reasonable. I believe it costs around $11 or $12 for a 3 item bento box. Unfortunately, the sourpuss faces (the employees never smile and therefore look unhappy to be there) and lack of customer service do not help the just okay food.
