Superb customer service 3/27/2008

I just had an in-home repair of my Panasonic Plasma TV and it could not have gone any better. I called Panasonic on Monday and they found a time slot with Advisory that met my needs just three days later on Thursday. I was expecting them to come and look at the TV and take it away from me for a week or longer while they repaired it, but it was quite the contrary. When I called Panasonic with my problem (my TV was under warranty by the way), they listened to the problem, assessed it very well apparently, and sent Advisory the parts they thought would need to be replaced. \r \r The technician, Alfonso, came at 5pm for my time slot that was to be between 5 and 7pm. He was very friendly and professional. He listened to me describe the problem for a minute or two and took a quick look at the TV and immediately he knew the problem. He figured it was one of the video boards, but replaced two of them just to be on the safe side. The problem seems to be resolved immediately after the repair. Alfonso then double checked the voltage from our outlet because he thought it may be fluctuating a bit too much and helped us to configure the settings on the TV to make it look even better. \r \r I'm just so impressed by this service that I felt compelled to let others know. I should mention that part of the excellent service was due to Panasonic. Alfonso mentioned that other brands will not send parts ahead of time like Panasonic did. Otherwise, he would have had to come out and look at the TV and reschedule another appointment a few days later. A superb example of customer service all the way around. Pros: Speedy, Friendly, and Professional Service. Cons: Not a single one. more
