I hate to be one of those people who write a bad review on Citysearch. Often times when I read negative reviews on here, I think that the writer must just be one of those people who doesn?t like anything. (Unless there are many, many negative reviews of the place). But I truly had a bad experience and want to give others a heads up. I had high hopes, as I love Spanish food and the other restaurants owned by the same group (Fritti, Sotto Sotto). \r

I?ll be succinct and not list it all in painful detail. \r
Cons:\r
The host couldn?t get his story straight on reservations nor on why we could not have a better table when there were many free. The tapas was basically pre-made and just re-heated, so they came out way too fast. Too much lag between those and the entrees. The paella was just weird. The most traditional one on the menu, by description, had no saffron in it and the prawns were rubbery. It also tasted fishy. Not like seafood. Like seafood left in the sun. The two-tops were strange: too tall, like bar tables. That?s cool for a bar, or pub. But no fun for a nice dinner out. Finally, the rice in the arroz con leche dessert was undercooked, so it was hard. \r

Pros:\r
The wine list was good. The tapas (despite their pre-packaged origins) were authentic and tasty. The chicken in the paella was good, tender. Our waitress very personable and did a good job. Cool decor (in spite of having to perch like a bird during the whole meal, on the bar-like chairs). \r

There are many great places in Atlanta to get Latin tapas. This just isn?t one of them. I expected much more from the U Restaurants Group. \r
Pros: cool decor, intown location
Cons: bad food, no parking, no valet
