Rude Service & Bad Store Policies - Avoid Chanel Store & Go To Neiman's for Your Chanel Products! 12/1/2008

I visited the Chanel store after being referred by the Chanel counter in Neiman Marcus since they were out of my shade of makeup. Not only with the need for the makeup, but I needed a moisturizer as well. I asked a sales girl and she advised I use a specific moisturizer that was $105.00 (1.7 oz), but that they had a holiday gift piece with that specific lotion (smaller size, 1.0 oz) for $170.00. I was not aware that the gift was mainly the smaller sized lotion for much more, so I returned it the very next day, so as not to be jipped. It was my surprise that it is Chanel's policy to not return the same form of payment you make to them. SO BEWARE! You either must wait 2-3 weeks for a check in the mail or gift card. If I would of known this I would of paid by credit card or debit card, but was not aware of this policy as it is only stated on their receipt after your purchase with cash. Not really informing! I am only writing this to inform others of their practice, so that others will know not to shop there or only pay by debit/credit card. You would think in an economy that we are in, where you definitely want to save the customers you can, a store like Chanel would have store policies that were more client friendly. I am now stuck with a $200 gift card to a store I never want to visit again!\r \r And trust me, Neiman's has much better policies and can afford to have $200.00 in the cash drawer for returns. Cons: Rude Service, Not Very Informing of Products, & Bad Store Policies more
