Although the food was mediocre at best and the song selection was poor, I used to be a proponent of Yakitori Boy (mostly because I love karaoke) until my most recent experience...About three weeks ago, I called and reserved a 20 person karaoke room for my friends to celebrate NYE. Upon making the reservation, I sent out invitations to my friends confirming our plans. Yesterday (3 weeks before NYE), a manager called me and told me that they would not honor my reservation unless I was willing to pay $2,200 instead of the $280 that was confirmed when I originally placed the reservation (WOW!). The manager acknowledged that he was doing the same thing to another reservation that was placed. I warn you in advance, if you are thinking about planning an event at Yakitori Boy, please be aware that if ownership believes that they can make an extra buck, they will have no problem breaking their agreement leaving you and your friends stranded with no place to go. That is enough for this former patron to never return again. It also makes me wonder what other ethical standards are they breaking in order to make an extra buck...
Pros: Live karaoke
Cons: reservations, service, food, music selection
