We recently had our home oven go on the fritz (Nov 08) and Maytag suggested Capital City as the authorized repair center. \r

Though they did indicate what the price of the repair prior to the work and we did agree to pay though we have reservations as to the final bill. \r

The technician was on-site for less than one hours time we were billed aprox $140 and another $75 for the part. \r

We found the same part on-line for under $20 though as the President of Capital City Appliance curtly pointed out it was not an OEM part and if we could find them cheaper please buy him some... No one likes a smart ass...\r

The President of Capital City Appliance also attempted to justify the high cost of the repair as stating they charged $20 below suggested price. No indication was given to whom suggested the price in the first place but we have an idea.\r

The service was completed and the oven now is in working order however having only payed aprox $400 for the oven new the repair cost of $220 ju
