My fiance was towed by Pat's Tow Service in Somerville. First, when my fiance called to see if his car was at Pat's tow lot he got a confirmation from someone that the car was their and was quoted a price. Then he heard swearing and yelling in the background and was hung up on. So, he called back to confirm his car was there and the cost to get it out to which he was quoted a completely different price. When he got there he saw the price that he was first quoted prominently posted and asked about why he was being charged another price to which the person said the price on the wall is for police towing. The employee did not explain that they have different prices for police towing and other towing and we had to ask to understand why our rate was not the ""police rate"" to which we got very short unhelpful answers. Once we paid the cashier we were given incorrect change (they ONLY accept cash) and we had to ask for the correct change which was just met with a belligerent comment.\r

We go out to the car only to find there was damage done to the car. So my fiance went back in to talk to someone about the damage to which, not surprisingly, they denied they were responsible for. So my fiance asked for names of managers and people at the company he could talk to settle this. What ended up happening is one of the employees who said he was the manager ended up physically grabbing my fiance and pinned him against a wall and made physical threats and then when my fiance said he was calling the police that employee ran away down the street. All the other employees present for what happened started to cover up for what took place by saying that the guy was not an employee but just a customer and that they did not know who he was etc...\r

The bottom line is that if this place was at all reputable and believed they were not responsible for the damage they would have found a way to settle the dispute without physically assaulting the customer. \r
