I have avoided rickshaw (pedicab) services in other cities because I have heard they tend to be expensive or that the drivers will rip you off.\r

Not so with Joey with Charleston Rickshaw. His price for delivering us from near the Market area (Charleston) to our Marion Square hotel was very fair and reasonable. \r

He took us the ""scenic"" way showing us some streets and blocks that we had not been on. \r
\r
I hope that the tip I added indicated my satisfaction with his excellent service.\r

By the way, the pedicabs have a much smoother ride than I expected. \r

Pros: Can be faster than motorized traffic in some situations; better viewing of sites you are passing.
Cons: More expensive than the city bus; more expensive than walking!
