Service Department needs lots of service training. 10/8/2008

Scooterville's service department is unprofessional. I e-mailed them through their websight to make an appointment to bring my 1964 Vespa in. It took 2 days and me calling them to find out I should just drop it off. I dropped it off and went through symptoms that I wanted corrected. I didn't heard anything back for the first week. I called, left a message: no return call. I called again a week later and got through to the shop manager, Steve. The shop manager said he'd look into it and call me back later that day. Shop manager never got back to me. I stopped in (2 weeks have now passed). I asked the shop manager 'why he didn't follow up as he had promised.' Lame excuses, including mechanic was sick, I got busy. I asked why it took so long to get a repair done. He told me ""It's an old scooter with a bad seal, and I'd rather work on new scooters. The old ones go to the end of the line."" No one told me that two weeks ago, and if they had, I never would have gone through this horrible experience with Scooterville. Then Steve told me he didn't want to work on my scooter. He was rude. They screwed up and didn't even offer to make it right. Had they been up-front with me at the outset, I would've said, ""Thank you for being honest,"" which they weren't. I would've been fine and moved on. I am in the market for 2 new scooters. I wanted to experience what their service was like before I purchased from them. They failed. Cons: unprofessional service more
