My wife and I chose to eat at CapuVino for some Friday night dessert and coffee. We had passed by it several times on our way to and from Washington Park. Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to CapuVino for several reasons. First, the service was terrible. After standing at the front counter for what seemed like an ETERNITY , we finally got a lackluster greeting from a SNOOTY waitress who seemed annoyed by the fact that we had come into a wine, coffee, and dessert shop to get some WINE, DESSERT, and COFFEE. Secondly, the place was very unsanitary. There were DIRTY DISHES within eyeshot of the ordering area, CRUMBS on the counter, and the waitress actually picked up our dessert with her BARE HANDS!! Yuck... Lastly, the place had all the character of a DORMITORY LOBBY. I would not recommend CapuVino. Unfortunately, the best part was the sign out front.
