they advertise hardwood floors on sale for $5.95 installed, when you go in - they have only two samples on sale - a no name brand - and they are not the most versatile colors! Proceed now to other displays, and of course more money! \r
Also, they advertise that their wood installers are employees - not true ! Our installers worked for an employee! He was paid by job - a sub contractor - he answered to his boss..\r
\r
Be cautious about their measuring of your area - get another estimate of the area - there was a wide discrepancy - they try to ""leave you with at least a box"" and they have to factor in ""waste"" . we wound up with 8 boxes left over - and the installer (sub) tried to take 5 of them away with him in his trailer. ( his bonus?) Oh! How suprised the guys in the (Brandon) store were when I brought 5 boxes back for a credit! \r
\r
I recommend- if you can afford it - shop sales - at Lumber liquidators, or anywhere - buy it - and then find your own installer - a lot of these subs will work on the side for you - \r
\r
Our installing ""crew"" had one guy who knew what he was doing, another who was okay - and two ""rookies"" - the cuts that one ""rookie"" made definitely showed his inexperience! and it shows in a vital area of our floor!\r
\r
Overall- I went with NAFFCO because I thought I was getting some quality work - I was wrong.
Pros: The floor is beautiful, but I can see all of the ""mistakes""
Cons: paid too much- too many middle men involved - getting my money!
