Love Janet Rufin's parlor. John Gerard has been cutting my hair since 2003 when he 'saved' it from the worst haircut known to man. I have followed him to 3 different salons, and Janet's is by-far the best! It is a very casual atmosphere, yet up-scale in feel. I don't feel pampered in a phony way - just genuine. They really want me to look and feel my best.\r

John is fabulous! I've never shown him a picture or given him much direction - he has taken the time to get to know me, my personality and my lifestyle and gives me a cut that works for my life (which has changed several times over the past 4 years). No matter what is going on in my life, I always feel great coming out of his chair - my haircut gives me a new lease on life and fits so well within my lifestyle it is just seamless. I can honestly say I have never 'fought' with a hairstyle he's given me, like I have with other hairdressers. \r

Lauren does my color. She is the first professional colorist I've returned to. She also thinks about me and my lifestyle/personality and gives me something that fits. I once asked her for highlights in November and she categorically refused - saying that November is not the time to make your hair look sun-kissed. She is practical, with a sense of style (a great one at that). She has managed to create a formula that matches my original color perfectly (but better) while working in some appropriate highlights so that I don't look silly or out of season.\r
