Been going here for over twenty five years. Always bring friends from out of town and they always want to come back ""to the Japanese place with the sushi floating by with the funny name"" place whenever they come back. Not just because of the sushi floating by but because the sushi is some of the best most of them have ever had or ever will have. I had a friend who from New York who really knows his stuff about sushi. Way beyond me. I decided to take him to Frying Fish more for the fun of the conveyor belt, while knowing he'll get a solid meal, maybe not as exotic as he was used to but great. He gets there and after watching what the chefs had to work with ordered something exotic, way beyond my knowledge. He smiled with expectation as he popped it into his mouth. I watched as the smile turned to a very wide grin. ""Great"" was all he said as he threw a five dollar bill into the Chef's tip basket. The chef smiled, knowing my friend knew his stuff. We stayed for another two hours. He goes back every time he's in town.
