The concierge at my hotel recommended Il Postino. The food was good, but the service was slimy at best, fraudulent at worst. We ordered a $55 bottle of wine, and then a second bottle of the same wine. When the bill arrived, they had charged us for two bottles of $160 wine! This more expensive bottle was the entry immediately below the cheaper bottle on the wine list, and had the same name except the more expensive bottle was "Reserve." I explained that we ordered the $55 bottle of wine, but the waiter was completely unsympathetic and merely shrugged his shoulders. I got the impression this waiter does this all the time. We ended up paying for the more expensive bottles of wine, but will NEVER return. After I told the hotel's concierge, he said he would never recommend people here again.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Didn't have lasagna! Expensive. Waiters are slimy.
