My friends and I went to Deuce last night and it rocked! Even when it was between chefs it was still pretty good. But the new chef and GM have really energized the place. Servers were friendly and fast, the outdoor seating was perfect for this weather, and the new items on the menu were all excellent. The chicken tamales and the cheese steak spring rolls were a nice start, and the chicken souvlaki in pita made for a great sandwich. I highly recommend the pan-seared sirloin with shrimp hash and a fried egg on top...I haven't seen that anywhere else. And there are new versions of their Kobe burgers as well. Our server Aaron was terrific--knowledgeable and funny, too!
Pros: Easy parking, wonderful outdoor seating on Liberties Walk and on 2nd Street
Cons: Still a transitional neighborhood
