not very British but still fun 6/29/2007

We were excited that a true British-style pub, complete with cask ale, was coming to Atlanta so we set out for TAP last Saturday night. The atmosphere didn't remind us of a British pub at all...in fact, it was more along the lines of the typical Midtown see-and-be-seen kind of place. That being said, the patio is fantastic. We were ready to write TAP off when we found out that they don't have cask ale (it is supposedly coming later), but we honestly enjoyed our experience, even if it wasn't what we were expecting. The Old Bay chickpeas are a nice contrast to cold beer, and the deviled eggs were really good. We ordered the pork chop and the chicken and artichoke stew for our meals. Both were tasty, though neither was outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly. Best for drinks and appetizers on the patio, in our opinion. Pros: great patio, service, appetizers Cons: not very British, no cask ale more
