I went out with a friend to have drinks in Brooklyn after having a dinner in the city. The Black Peral wa son my list of restaurants to try and their specialty cocktail menu looked pretty nice so we chose t go there. I must admit the drinks were all good. The Mangotini, Rasberrytini and Lechitini all excellent. The following Sunday being father's day i decided suggest to my brothers that we take our father there. The drinks. I had a Key Lime Pie Martini, it was excellent. Then came the food. The calamari appetizer was no where near exceptional, nor was the coconut shrimp. The steak was bland the rice was hard, the plaintain under cooked the black beans, blah. \r
So on the plus side, the wait staff is friendly and informative, and the atmosphere is great. \r
