I started using Courtenay Animal Hospital, when I moved to Merritt Island with my two dogs 1999. My dogs were 1 and 2 years old. Dr. Maxwell has seen them for anything from toe-nail clippings to surgery, into their now senior years. He has always been very professional, respectful, even loving and caring with my dogs. He always spends extra time with me discussing the issue(s) for which I brought my dog(s) in. He carefully explains answers to all of my questions. Over the years, I've come to enjoy him as a professional, as well as appreciate his great sense of humor, which is another sign of intelligence. I've found his ability to diagnose symptoms to be amazingly quick and accurate. He, has always called me promptly to follow-up with any lab results. His staff has called to check up after any visit which was not routine, and even just to see if my dogs did okay after vacinations. All of his staff has always been very friendly, professional and caring.
