I love The Brooklyn, and have been going there for years. Many great nights have been spent there with my best friends over drinks and oysters. I have become friends with several of the staff, and the food is always wonderful (best clam chowder!). But tonight was terrible. My cousin just moved into the city, right next door, and so I recommended we go there for some drinks/food. The minute we walked into the bar we felt unwelcome - the waiter practically scowled at us when we sat down. I have never had a server be so rude in all my years. He literally told me to ""go hang out somewhere else."" I was so embarrassed and flustered, I just wanted to finish my drink and leave. He ID'd us (we are not even close to 21), told my cousin rudely that he could not read her license, and asked us if we were going to be driving. It was insulting and disrespectful. This night will make me think twice about ever going back.
Pros: Food, Ambience
Cons: New Staff
