On a slow Saturday night, a group of my friends got together for a birthday party. We had just had margaritas with a very expensive dinner. Being smart enough to know their financial and physiological limits, some of the group decided to just enjoy the company of friends. When the bartender (and manager) told us that the two out of six members of our party who were not drinking could not sit at the bar, we presumed he was joking, as there was no business that we could have possibly been blocking. He returned a second time and was very nasty, insisting that if we didn't even try to spend some money, we had to leave (while we had already ordered three beers and a tanqueray and tonic). Any good manager knows that the customer is always right. However, we were told we'd ""grow up someday"" (very funny from a man who was probably younger than a few of us!) and ordered to get out. We'll never go back again.
