Master Gohring has asked me if I would take a moment to post a review of my thoughts of his school in which I am one of his students. It?s kind of hard to think that it is now over three years ago when I had my very first lesson with him and little did I know I would actually be testing one day for a Black Sash in Tai Chi (actually, this Nov 18th). After all, I was there for Tai Chi, the health and wellness program thing?.. Looking back I knew very, very little about Tai Chi. I thought I was really there to find relief from my high stress career, to find my center and become healthier through Tai Chi. That was only the beginning as I quickly started to achieve the basic benefits of Tai Chi in just the first few months. My flexibility grew, my stress lowered (which is a good thing as even more stress continues to come my way), and I could bend over and get up without getting a head rush. Master Gohring opened a door to Tai Chi that is not found just anywhere. He has an open door to an Ancient Chinese Martial Art with a structured program to mark your progress so you can actually see just how far you?ve come and where you are going with no end in sight. The beauty in it all is that it?s a lifelong journey of continued growth and achievements in health, self-defense and well-being. That alone is priceless.
Pros: Life changing journey with a great tour guide.
Cons: Addicting - but I come from an addictive treeline...
