Had dinner on a Wednesday night, 8.30pm and the place was PACKED! Luckily, we had reservations, but unfortunately, still had to wait about 15 minutes. They also don't have a waiting area, so it got a bit tight. However, the hostess was so nice and apologetic. When we were seated, we were asked to move -- which was a bit annoying but since the place was so busy -- it was understandable. Things like this happen -- but again, the hostess was very accomodating and gave us a complimentary dish. I think the hostess apologetic attitude made the difficult decision easy.
The food was surprisingly good. Had the vegetable dumplings, seaweed salad and a bunch of rolls. It was unbelievably cheap for the quality of the food and area. The service was okay. We had to ask for waters and teas -- which is a sign and I can't quite remember our server because she only came by once. Usually, Japanese restaurants are known for their service but I wasn't greatly impressed.
The ambiance was fun and the music was not too loud.
I would go back again - hopefully, not on such a crazy, busy night but would go back for cheap, good sushi.
