i discovered their enoteca $41 four course prix fix option on friday and could wait to try it.. i went on monday and had a good experience. i had the grilled octopus with some huge beans. It was very good and tasted a little sweet. Next was the Gniocchi with ragu. It was good but nothing special. Entree was the turkey osso buco. It was delicious... meat falling off the bone over a bed of rice(?) or risotto(?). Dessert was the chocolate tort. Good but nothing special. My friend had the beef carpaccio, ravioli (mmmmmmm very good), shrimp entree and i dont know which dessert she got. Over all a good experience. the bread basket is warm and really good. I actually tried the lard which was good but not worth the calories. Service was good although they seemed to be dropping a lot of things that night. They had a group od live musicans playing some instrument ( i dont know what it's called) that looks like a huge violin. Pretty cool. Not really what I expected but it was still good. I expected it to be EXCELLENT. I also expected the food to be more ""italian-y"". Not bad for my first dinner of 2007. I plan to come back and do the prix fix again in the spring when they change the menu.
