I like taking out-of-towners to Forest Room 5 because it's got a sort of alternative, non-corporate, artsy vibe to it while still being upscale -- there's no peeling paint or plastic glasses. I guess I mean that it makes Denver seem like a much more sophisticated city than it actually is. There are usually too few servers, that's true... oftentimes I'll just walk up and get my drinks directly from the bar. As long as you know what you want it's not a problem. Plus, it's awesome to watch the pasty-faced, polo shirt wearing suburbanite next to you get denied their Coors Light -- their mouth just hangs open. (they don't sell the usual beer there.)
Pros: Visuals
Cons: Always seems to be either packed or dead
