I have eaten pho for years now and all around the country. Most of my pho eating, however, has occured in LA, which admittedly probably has the best pho in the country. That said, the pho I got at Saigon Palace was the worst pho I have ever had. Full stop. It had none of the recognizable characterisitcs of pho. It didn't come piping hot. The noodles weren't flat. The broth tasted like dirty dish water. I have never sent food back before at a restaurant, but this ""pho"" I had to send back after just one bite. To their credit, they did give me another dish. Some lemon grass chicken dish or something. It was pretty poor too, but edible, at least. The whole thing wasn't cheap either. The pho was like $11. The lemon grass chicken was the same. Bottom line: this place has the worst pho. It shouldn't even be called pho. Do yourself a favor and go to Lac Viet (in the North Market) if you want pho. It's only like 4 blocks from Saigon Palace. The pho there is always delicious and hot, and the people who run it are pure joy.
Cons: Worst pho ever, terrible ambience, can't think of one reason anyone would ever eat here
