Over-Priced Stale "French Toast" 9/13/2006

My Mom and I were unfamiliar with the area and stumbled upon "Alice's Tea Cup II" on the East side. I ordered the stuffed French toast, which I was told was now done "bread pudding style." It sounded good, so I ordered it. Came in a teeny, tiny round bowl and was basically chunks of STALE, tasteless, day-old (at least) bread! It was some ridiculous price and wasn't enough to fill a cavity!!! Very disappointing! My Mom ordered a pumpkin scone, which was delicious, but came about 10 minutes before my sad excuse for french toast was served! Also, bus boys/men who apparently didn't speak English plopped our food down in front of us like we were bothering them! Maybe the west side is better. Pros: Scones! Cons: bus boy rude service! more
