I have been eating here since early 80s when they were located next to the garden supply place on Sawtelle (Now I am really dating myself.) The food has always been better than good, some times exceptional but never below good, and that is a lot to be said about a sushi place. But in the past few years, the other stuff has made eating here almost not worth it. First of all, the wait is horrendous (sometimes 60-90 minutes), second, they close so early, so in summer time, better be hungry at 7:00. To make things worst, they only accept cash, try to take out 8 people for Sushi with a $500 bill and have to fork out cash. So go at your own risk.
