As a sushi restaurant Yamashiro is average at best but the real strength here are their cooked dishes. The salt and pepper fried chicken is incredibly moist and delicious with an addictive crispy brown skin. The Kobe beef steak comes cooked to perfection (get it medium rare!) with a side of wasabi mashed potatoes and pan sauteed veggies. Other good choices include pan seared halibut, teriyaki salmon and black cod kasuzuke.
When ordering sushi, stick to their vast menu of inventive and fun rolls.
Pros: fried chicken, Kobe beef, sushi rolls
